               a. (U) Totanul/Diphtheria Toxoid - Within the last 10 years.

               b. (U) Poliovirus Vaccine (Oral) - Within the last 10 years,
           as per reference (b).

               C. (U) Typhoid - Within the last 3 years.

               d. (U) Immune Serum Globulin (ISG) - one 2cc dose every three
           months or one Scc dose every five months.

               a. (U) Influenza - 1990 - 91 composition.

               1. (U) Meningococcal Vaccine - Administered only    to those
           personnel who anticipate close, prolonged contact with local
           nationals, especially children.

           4. (U) MALARIA CHEVOPROPHYLAXIS. All units will have an eight
           weeks supply of 500mg chloroquine tablets (S per man) on hand.
           Prophylaxis will be initiated only at the direction of the MARCENT
           Surgeon. There is no risk for malaria for deployed forces in the
           *astern province of Saudi Arabia.

           5. (U) PREVENTION OF HEAT INJURIES


               a. (U) Environmental conditions will be monitored utilizing
           the WBOT Index and appropriate work/rest cycles should be
           employed.

               b. (U) To avoid dehydration, water intake must be monitored
           and enforced. Thirst is not an accurate indicator of hydration.

               0. (U) Skin protection of exposed parts of the body
           necessitates the use of sunscreen with a sunscreen protection
           factor (SPF) of 15 or greater, available through organic supply.

               d. (U) Eye protection will require the use of sunglasses.
           Goggles will be used In the winter during the windy conditions.
           Sunglasses are available through organic supply.

               e. (U) Head covers must be utilized.

           S. (U) PERSONAL HYGIENE


               a. (IJ) Enteric diseases such as diarrhea and hepatitis are
ffective means
           to prevent such diseases is for personnel to wash their hands
           frequently, especially following the use of latrines and before
           eating.

               b. (U) Hand washing stations must be located near latrines
           and all messing facilities. Their use will be made mandatory.
