                     recon,na issance was conducted of Al Qurrah. Lima Company
                     conducted a reconnaissance patrol forward of TF TARO's TAOR.
                     The Battalion halo planning call met at the TF TARO COC.
                     TOWS were reattached to 3/3.

  29-30 January      3/3 forward, with HMGs moved forward to conduct missions in
                     reaction to@an Iraqi thrust into Khafji. A FAC team was
                     attached to@@the SANG and engaged the enemy south of Khafji.
                     The FAC team later returned to the main COC. The FAC team
                     went back to checkpoint 2e and linked up with the forward
                     COC.


  30 January         MOPP level 2 set at 2100, NAPP started.

     January         Battalion forward CP returned from positions south of
                     Khafji. TOWS detached to 3rd Marines.
