              Some highlights during this period:


              15 Jan 91  -Mine class from Quantico instructors given to 1/7.


              17 Jan 91  -The air campaign starts.

              19 Jan 91  -Receive towed assault bridge (TAB).

              20 Jan 91  -Remove fascines from AAVs to save wear and tear


                         -Receive MklS4 (3 shot) ammo


              22 Jan 91  -Receive (3) armored combat escavators (ACE). We
                          spend the next 3 days acquiring communications
                          gear for the ACES. 1/7 provided antennas and
                          mounts. D Co, 3rd AAV provided the KY57s. CEB
                          provided the CVC helmets.

              28 Jan 91 - Receive lane marking material.

              3-4 Feb 91- We move again further north.

              5-7 Feb 91- We continue C)CD sandtable and vehicle rehearsals.


               8 Feb 91 - 1/7 moves just north of the Division Supply Center
                          (DSC) to provide them needed protection from any
                          Iraqi assaults south. The DSC is about 20 miles
                          from the border of Kuwait. our heavy equipment
                          again digs around the clock for 4 days to provide
                          1/7 with vehicle positions.

              13 Feb 91 - 1/7 moves south to rejoin T.F. Ripper after being
                          relieved by the Army's Tiger Brigade of the 2nd
                          Marine Division.


              14 Feb 91 - We upload our fascines. We do 6 AAVs in about 6
                          hours using two trams.

        16 Feb 91 - The company is tasked with supporting TF Grizzly
                          (RCT 4) with a platoon of engineers. Eight
                          Marines are pulled from Ist, 3rd and 4th platoon
                          along with 1 HMMWV from 4th platoon, a total of 24
