                           Marines.


              20 Feb 91    I attended the debrief given by recon to the Ist
                           Marine Division concerning the First obstacle
                           Belt. The intell is very accurate and includes:
                           surface laid mines of VSPSO (AP) and TM62M (AT),
                           good trafficability, no concertina but there is a
                           cattle fence in front and behind the minefieid.
                           60-90m deep minefields, undefended.

              21 Feb 91 -  Regimental exercise involving breaching
                           operations. This is a very good exercise and
                           prepares us well for 'G' day. 1/7 opens and marks
                           2 simulated lanes.


              22 Feb 91 - Start taking nerve agent pills 1100/1900/0300 and
                           anthrax pills 0700/1900
