              C. Coordinating Instructions
                  (1) 'Each battalion will establish and maintain a
battalion Collection Point when they have EPWs in
their possession. During the breaching portion of
the operation, EPWs will be moved by the battalions
to temporary holding areas established by Regiment
north of the first breach between breach lanes Red 2
and Blue 3, and between lanes Blue 4 and Green S.
Units will move EPWs taken during the breach to
these positions and secure them there until the
arrival of MPs. Additional Collection Points will
be established north of the breach points, when
                       required.

                  (2) Units will move detainees to the Collection Point,
where they will be received by MP/CAG assets. Large
numbers of EPWs may require additional
                       transportation assets, coordinated through the
Regimental S-4. When feasible, MP assets may be
tasked with moving to the unit collection points and
retrieving EPWs. Units are to use deadheaded
logistical vehicles and other such methods to the
                       greatest extent possible.
                  (3) 52 (b)(1)

                  (4) ITU and C1 personnel will screen EPWs and will
                       interview/interrogate those they deem lucrative
sources at the Regimental Collection Point.

                  (5) Battalion Aid Stations will render medical @,id to
wounded EPWs as required to save life or limo, as
                       the tactical situation permits.

                  (6) The primary coordination method for EPW transfer
will be the EPW radio net. This uncovered VHF net
                       is established as:

                       DAY FREQUENCY

                         I I
                         2
                         3
                         4 5 U.S.C. 552 (b)(1)

                                                          UNCLASSIFIED
