              redeployment, each unit should send a representative (E-5 or above)
              to pick up Navy Service Records for the unit. If the Navy Personnel
              Office has not been given sufficient lead time, records that are
              incomplete will be completed and forwarded as soon as possible.
              Each unit should find out from all Navy personnel assigned if
              personnel have any other unresolved administrative or pay issues
              being processed by the I MEF Navy Personnel Office; all pertinent
              paperwork at that office should also be picked up with the records.
              All ribbons and awards will be entered in the Navy Service Records
              at Camp Lejeune. A NAVPERS 1070/604 service record entry will be
              made for all enlisted awards and a NAVPERS 1070/613 entry for all
              officers.


                   C. Ensure that any Navy personnel that may be exceptions to
              routine redeployment processing or have other special problems are
              identified early to both the I MEF and Division Navy Personnel
              Offices.


                   d. Ensure that any Navy Pay Records brought in country return
              with the unit or individual.


                   e. Ensure that all Medical/Dental Records are returned from
              the custody of the reporting unit's administrative center (if
              applicable) to a medical department representative.

                   +. Ensure that all Navy personnel have fitness
              reports/evaluations prepared prior to departure from country.

                         (1) For ENLISTED:


                              (a) If assigned JLAQ_tg_unit, prepare a "concurrent
              evaluation" covering the period of TAD.

                         (2) For OFFICERS:

                              (a) If assigned TAD_to_unit, prepare a "detachment of

                         (3) Ensure that "Number of Days of Combat" is noted
              appropriately (consult the S-1 of the cognizant reporting unit).

                         (4) Final preparation of the OCR document will be
              coordinated through the 2d Marine Division Surgeon's O++ice/Navy
              Personnel Office. Pass to all Navy personnel (e.g., chaplains,
              etc.).   Ensure that all fitness reports submitted are neat-goo_
              Iggible. Take the time to do it right the first time, not find the
              time o do it over again.
