          11 - The first dance and a barbecue are held to celebrate
               Veterans Day.

          11 - MCPON AVCM(AW) Duane Bushey visited FH5.

          11 - The first Saudi helo landed at FH5.

          12 - Sick Call begins first in-country inoculations including
               influenza, hepatitis B and gammaglobulin vaccines.

          12 - A casualty report was issued closing ward nine due to grey
               water contamination from the galley scullery. Food Services
               temporarily shifted to disposable dishes and utensils.

          13 - The first multinational, night-time mass casualty drill is
               conducted with British forces participating as patients.

          15 - Television personality, Willard Scott of the Today show
               visited FH5.

          15 - Drugs arrive through the supply system to expand the
               formulary beyond the original AMAL.

          15 - Laundry service began contracting to a local civilian
               laundry service, Al Jabr Trading Co.

          16 - The Marine Corps recreation center is opened. PHS personnel
               are allowed to visit to make telephone calls, video tapes
               and relax.

          18 - The hospitals Navy exchange moved into a wooden sea hut
               constructed next to the canteena in the recreation area.

          20 - The first of two DT-60 Chemistry analyzers was received in
               the Laboratory.

          20 - Army Central Command provides food for Thanksgiving day
               meal. Food picked up at Damnam, S.A. by Food Service
               personnel.

          21 - First Thanksgiving Eve interfaith service is conducted.

          22 - A special Thanksgiving meal is prepared by Food Services for
               the staff and patients.

          22 - FH5 was alerted as the contingency hospital during the visit
               of President Bush to the area.
