          31 - Halloween party and activities are held.

          31 - Conducted 174 helicopter landings for the month of October.

          31 - A total of 2,972 prescriptions were filled for the month of
               October.

          31 - The Navy exchange served 6,569 customers and grossed
               $ 46,191.80 in the month of Oct. The barber shop served 672
               customers in the month of Oct. Laundry processed 96,000
               pounds of patient and staff laundry and 24,000 pounds of
               ward linen in the month of Oct.

          31 - For the month of October, SeaBees received 44 work r @ ests,
               completing all of them. They received 133 emergency work
               requests, completing 130 of them.

          November 1990

          1 -  The first liberty trip to the Marine Recreation Center is
               conducted.

          2 -  The first inspection of the Helo pad Decontamination Unit by
               lst MEF NBC officer. Unit was found to be the best facility
               in theater.

          3 -  Professional Boxer Thomas Hearns visited FH5 as part of a
               USO tour.

          5 -  Secretary of the Navy, the Honorable H. Lawrence Garrett,
               III visited FH5.

          5 -  The first Navy Sea Stallion helo landed at FIIS.
          8 -  Hardbacking of berthing GP tents begins to provide
               additional support to tents due to frequent high winds.
          9 -  Channel 3 news of Norfolk, VA, with reporter Betty Francis,
               visited FH5.

          9 -  The Radiology Department Head, Capt J. Navoy, MC, was
               appointed Director, Ancillary services.

          10 - PCI Robert Jandrew is named the first FH5 Senior Sailor of
               the Quarter. DT3 Timothy Worley is named first FH5 Junior
               Sailor of the Quarter.

          11 - Rear Admiral Buffington, Commander, Civil Engineer Corps,
               visited FH5.
