SUBJECT; t" Second Tri-Service Task Force Meeting to Evaluate
the Industrial Capability to Produce Anthrax and Botulinum Toxin
Vaccines
policy has not been determined yetr and will depend upon numerous
political and medical factors. However, we should attempt to get
the maximum amount of anthrax and botulinum toxin vaccine that we
can. Possible sources to produce the vaccines for a short-term
solution were discussed and the completion of the market survey
will be by 1 Nov 90. veterinary facilities which produce anthrax
vaccine have been contacted to see about their capability ?f
supporting Project Badger. There are two such facilities in
Kansas and one in Colorado. It would be anticipated that the
vaccine would be produced in the veterinary facility and shipped
to Michigan for bottling. The use of the farmenters at
was also discussed# and it was decided that a team
from this Task Force will visit that facility after discussing
the possibility with the FDA and the current owners of the
toxicological facility.

we will have to determine that following the Michigan meeting.
