          GENERAL PURPOSE FORCES PEG:

              a. Enhance medical nuclear, chemical, and biological
          warfare defense contingency Posture to include
          anti-radiation medications, antidotes, vaccines, antitoxin,
          and other medical material. (HCD)

              b. Provide a MF2K Health Services Support force which
          is modernized, modular, mobile and capable of performing
          its doctrinal Airland Battle mission.

                    1. Develop and implement a management plan
          designed to minimize turbulence caused by modernization and
          conversion of the current force to the MF2K programmed
          medical force.

                    2. Provide conversion/fielding support services
          resources necessary to equip, modernize, train and convert
          the current medical force to the MF2K structured medical
          force in accordance with established conversion
          milestones/parameters.

                    3. Focus MF2K conversion redistribution of
          displaced unit assets on force readiness improvements.

                    4. Assure MF2K conversion MACOM resourced
          programmed funding requirements are identified for POM
          inclusion.

              c. Develop and resource sufficient additional fast
          sealift capability to put 75% of the Army component
          commander's hospitalization requirement in the theater of
          operations within 45 days after the deployment order.(HCP)

              d. Develop maritime prepositioned hospitals in the
          CENTCOM, SOUTHCOM areas of responsibility. (HCP)

              e. Convert and restructure the current health services
          force structure to a MF2K force structure having the
          capability to support the Army missions and compliment the
          doctrine of Airland Battle.

              f. Provide sustainment funding to replace components
          of and maintain the readiness of field medical units (HCP)
