1. Using lap-top computer to begin epidemic surveillance of'
troops.

5. Low number of heat injuries. Command awareness and
discipline for water intake excellent.
6. Diarrhea a problem in some places but not everywhere in
Division; attributes mostly to sanitation deficiencies. mild
type. No dysentery seen.
7. Crowding of troops into single building is commonplace,
e.g., 1,000 soldiers in one maintenance building on post. 16
sq ft/man - about 1/3 needed by doctrine. Buildings are air
conditioned. URIs common, but not problematic.
