D. Assumptions: The 803d Medical Group and its subordinate units
must be prepared to meet and defeat level ONE threats. However,
medical personnel and non-medical personnel while assigned to
medical units have a special status under the Geneva Convention.
our personnel are armed only with small arms for protection of the
wounded and sick under our charge. We will continue to perform our
health service support mission in Rear Battle operations. Quick
reaction teams from the base cluster must be available to reinforce
our AO. Primary threat, for bases within Log Base Bravo, KKMC is
level ONE and TWO threats (terrorism, enemy agents, criminals, and
special operations forces).
2. MISSION: All units will conduct rear area security operations as
necessary with minimum degradation of CS/CSS mission.
3. EXECUTION:
A. Concept of the Operation:
(1) Base locations: Enclosure 2
(2) Preparation of Defenses: Enclosure 3
a. 114th Evacuation Hospital will develop an area defense plan,
establish alert procedures, and identify and train a reaction
force. Coordinate with adjacent units and host nation when
planning defensive measures.
b. 350th Evacuation Hospital will develop an area defense plan,
establish alert procedures and identify and train a reaction force.
Coordinate with adjacent units when planning defensive measures.
c. 251st Evacuation Hospital will develop an area defense plan for
both the MODA hospital and the area 5000 hospital. Establish
alert procedures and identify and train a reaction force.
Coordinate with adjacent units and host nation when planning
defensive measures.
d. 108th Medical Battalion will develop an area defense plan,
establish alert procedures and identify and train a reaction
force. Coordinate with adjacent units and host nation when
planning defensive measures.
