This tab contains
changes from the March 1, 2001, version. These include:
- Text concerning flea and tick
collars;
- An updated subsection on regulatory
status of the pesticides used during the Gulf War;
- A subsection summarizing the
findings of four epidemiological studies relevant to pesticide exposures in
Gulf War veterans;
- A clarification that possible
symptomatic pesticide exposure reports were detailed and credible, but anecdotal
and not contained in medical reports;
- A description of the results of the review
of 28,000 Gulf War veteran in-patient records that showed one diagnoses referencing
pesticide exposure, or any illnesses obviously resulting from pesticide exposure;
and
- A recommendation that the Armed
Forces Pest Management Board take action to facilitate a phase-out of dichlorvos-containing
pest strips where possible.
