0255[(b)(l)sec3.4(b)(l)]Syrian forces are in Kuwait.[(b)(l) sec 3.4 (b)(l)] did not
expect Syrians to take the fight to Iraq.
0258 Gen Glosson asked Marine Lt Col John Woods about when
and how coalition forces will arrive in Kuwait. Answer -
Coalition will arrive in trucks to Kuwait City. That's how
they'll liberate it. Basically marines will transport coalition
forces there so allies can liberate. Marines will cover
coalition's rear. Col Woods added that they probably won't be in
Kuwait City tomorrow but certainly the day after. Gen Glosson
said that's 24-hours ahead of schedule to which the marine
            colonel answered affirmative.

0305 JSTARS Liaison Capt Crabbe brought new sets of targecs
to the table of AE6 area.

0307 Gen Olsen pulled himself up to the table with a tootsie
roll pop (TRP) in his mouth and spoke with Col Reavey who had his
own TRP and discussed movement. Gen Olsen noted that it~s good
we'll have the Scout Box working to detect movement.

0342 Lt Col Horning remarked there's basically more planes
in the air than available airspace. [(b)(1) sec 3.4 0(b)(6)]

                                                                   The Col also questioned the
Navy's use of large packages used to attack targets. He felt they
were taking up more room in an already saturated environment.5

Army BCE unfounded rumors include reports by army scouts
that about finding dead camels and sheep due to anthrax
introduced bio warfare. Also, despite marines encountering chem
mines on-the-march, that hasn't slowed them down. They just went
            right through it.

BCE told of Iraqi's communicating to superiors in Baghdad
that they'd fired chems and HE against us but they actually
hadn't. Perhaps they upchanneled false information to protect
themselves from punitive action until they could find a way to
become EPWs. BCE also told of EPW camps named Brooklyn and Bronx
housed EPWs from the 45th and 48th ID.

0356 Maj Thompson reported to Gen Olsen that last night his
scud crews thought they saw Iragi's trying to rebuild some fixed
sites. Gen Olsen commented that maybe they're trying to make us
think that we haven't taken them out.

0403 VII Corps using RF-4 support to commence at 0430.

            0412 A-10s are up, "They'll have a feeding frenzy,"
            according to Col Reavey.

5 It was later rumored by BCE that Navy hit a Saudi
            unit. Not substantiated.
