HELLFIRE missiles are no longer available in theater according to
the G4. HELLFIRE missiles will play an important role in AVN BDE
future operations. Ammunition items must be delivered to 452d
Ord ASP in TAA WENDY to ensure rapid availability to units. (G4)

                   (6) (2t Currently, the division is at 71% zero balance
on ASL due to infrequent replenishment in the past three months.
PLLs are in worse shape. Ninety percent of all receipts have
been released for NMC-S, not for stockage. In major assemblies,
1CD currently has 99 of 202 GS reparables at zero balance. The
AVN BDE's readiness rate has also been adversely affected by
inadequate supply of class IX repair parts, particularly AIMI and
AH-64 LRU RX items. The attachment to VII Corps has disrupted
the fragile repair parts flow and will require intensive
management to insure past requisitions are forwarded to the
Division. Key assembly shortages are listed in the LOGSTAT
report and have been reported individually to VII Corps. (G4)

                   (7) One additional medium truck company and one
additional POL truck company are needed for the Division to
 rates. The
pull system of resupply (not doctrine) which has been in use
since arrival in country has severely taxed the unit's aged
vehicle fleet. The additional transportation units are needed
because the Division has neither the trucks nor the drivers to
         support 1CD's operational requirements. (G4)

                   (8) (@ Request replacement of M50 series 5 ton, M800
series 5 ton, and M35 series 2 1/2 ton trucks. The age of the
fleet, particularly the M52 tractors, severely impacts readiness
of the force. Division currently has 162 M52 tractors, 27 M818
         tractors, 39 M54 cargo trucks, 94 M313 cargo trucks, and 809 M35
         cargo trucks. (G4)

                   (9) ivision is critically short on batteries.
         Specifically automotive (1964), BA-30, BA-5588, BA-5598, BA-5567,
BA-4386, AND BA-3517. See LOGSTAT for document numbers and
         specifics. (G4)
