The enemy fired multiple rockets from a possible
               ASTRO II MRL at Ras Al Khafji (2928NO4830E). 5 U.S.C. 552 (b)(1)

Early, post strike reports from the U.S. Air Force
indicated that Saddam Hussein's presidential palace was
damaged and that Air Force jamming was effective against
               Iraqi command and control communications.

Iraqi air defense was ineffective, allowing the
coalition air forces to attack at will.

IS Jan: Iraq fired eight to nine SCUD missiles at Israel
and one missile towards Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The targets
in Israel were Tel Aviv and Haifa. Very little damage was
done in Israel and the missile towards Dhahran was
intercepted by Patriot air defense missiles.

19 Jan: The total number of heavy battalions located in
the 17th Ar Div area was 22.

2e( Jan: Repeated strikes against enemy airfields have
degraded the Iraqi capability to generate sorties.

Iraq launched two, possibly three, SCUDs into Saudi
Arabia. Patriot missiles intercepted two of the missiles.
               No damage was reported.

21 Jan: Iraqi air force activity was virtually dormant
with the enemy either unwilling or unable to directly
               challenge coalition strike aircraft.

Two salvos of SCUD missiles were launched at Saudi
Arabia. The first salvo included three missiles with the
second launching seven missiles. The targets were Riyadh
and Dhahran. Patriot missiles destroyed six to seven SCUDs
in flight. No damage was reported.

23 Jan: The artillery posture in the "Ruqi Pocket" area
weeks.

                                     UNCLASSIFIED 5 U.S.C. 552 (b)(1)
