           2. (U) Operation DESERT SHIELD conducted by USCENTCOM on C)2/04/91.

           4. (U) TITLE: Operations: Troop Schools

           5. (Lt) OBSERVATION. The schedule of Troop School classes was
           affected by deployment during Desert Shield.

           6. (Lt) DISCUSSION: Although the units had numerous
           cancellations prior to the shut down date, a few classes were
           still filled. The five to six week period was adequate +or the
           garrison employees, both military and civilian, to complete the
           major push of their Support duties, regroup, and start looking
           at the needs of those left behind.

           7. (u) LESSON LEARNED: Cancel all Troop Schools +or a set time
           period, then make a revised schedule and implement.

           B. (Lt) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Try to finish any Troop School if
           possible, then reorganize and reschedule other Troop Schools for
           those non-deployed.
