                e.   Sent a message to ARCENT G-3 requesting 2 platoons from
            490th CML Bn to support IID south of the breach since decon there
            benefits theater and because 181 CML Co had significant maintenance
            problems.

                f. LTC Merryman, ARCENT, reported the ship with the M17s was
            in port. No estimate as to when they would get to us.       She also
            reported 250 CAM battery adapters for VII Corps were available to
            enable the CAM to use BA3030 batteries. She reported our request
            for an additional 2 decon platoons from the 490th CML Bn had been
            denied.

                g. CPT Miller, XVIII ABC Chem reported they have no shortage
            of M256 kits.

                h.   ARCENT had no data on the stockage of M256 kits or Fox
            markers.

                i. BG Daniel, Corps DCG, asked what Corps would do if mustard
            was used in the breach. He was told it would likely ball up in the
            sand and become primarily attached to the undercarriage of
            vehicles.

                j.   2ACR started taking PB tablets in preparation for the
            offense.

                k.   IID decon plan: 4 sites north of the breach: NT685645, NT
            845415,  NT 800480, and NT 830440, and had 2 sites south of the
            breach:  NT 500175, NT 820120.

                1.   Sent a message to ARCENT and DA-DCSLOG reference how to get
            M256 kits and the effect of using expired kits.

            23 FEB 91:

                a. CPT Schultz, ARCENT Chem, reported they were working on our
            message on M256 kits.

                b.   MAJ McNamara, TAC Chem, met with 2ACR, IAD, and 3AD
            concerning how they would mark the contaminated areas and how to
            pass contaminated areas to the units behind them. They agreed-to
            the following:

                     (1) Fox crews would stay nounted and sealed Up. They will
            find the contamination and mark the basic boundary with Fox markers
            and yellow chem-lights at night.
