                      21 Jan
                          0108: SCUD Alert, target is believed to be Hafar
                Al Batin or King Khalid Military City.
                          0238: DTAC directs that units will remain at MOPP
                level one until further notice.
                          07OP: MOPP Level Zero in effect.
                          1143: The Syrian 9th AD completes movement of
                approximately one brigade.
                          2230: Informed by DTAC that movement of the
                Syrian 9th AD is delayed 24 hours due to bad weather.

                      2P Jan
                          0517: B-3 approves the brigade's request to
                reoccupy defensive positions. Units have been holding in
                laager sites south of defensive positions during movement
                of the Syrian 9th-AD. The movement route of the Syrians is
                farther north than first planned.

                      23 Jan
                          1214: Syrians complete movement of approximately
                one brigade.

                      24 Jan
                          0534: Informed by DTAC that the Syrian 9th AD
                will complete movement across the division front today.
                          2015: TF 3-32 investigates suspicious civilians
                vicinity their positions.
                          2359: TF 2-5 investigates seven suspicious
                civilians vicinity their positions.

                      25 Jan
                          1325: DTAC approves reconnaissance of the new
                defensive sector. The recon parties are limited to two
                vehicles per battalion.
                          i540: DTAC warns the brigade of a possible Iraqi
                air attack beginning at 1545 hours. The warning is based
                on communications intercepts which later prove to be
                false.


                      26 Jan
                          1000: The brigade begins movement north to new
                defensive positions.
                          1319: All units are closed in new defensive
                positions with the FEBA NS839995 to NS992997 to PS139993.
