          16 - The first aborted holo landing and 100th helo landing is
               conducted.

          16 - First one-day liberty visit to Camp-I is held.

          17 - Results of bacterial contamination of fresh vegetables
               indicated this as a possible cause of diarrheal illness at
               the command.

          18 - As an all time high, 301 outpatients are seen at FH5.

          19 - Comedian/Actor Steve Martin visited FH5. Briefly admitted
               as a patient due to dehydration.

          19 - First Jewish service is conducted.

          20 - Host nation direct support for food services was obtained
               vice having to go through USMC at Camp 15. Food deliveries,
               except for bread, would now be made directly for FH5 vice
               having to make daily runs to Camp 15.

          20 - The first liberty visit to Marine beach is conducted.

          21 - The first fire is called away in response to an air
               conditioning unit fire in Radiology.

          22 - Nitroglycerin and tissue plasminogen activator arrive
               through supply system, providing the ability to treat heart
               attacks with the most modern treatment available.

          23 - First tonsillectomy.

          24 - Medical officers and nurse practitioners attended a three
               day course on chemical warfare given by the U.S. Army
               Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense.

          25 - SeaBees fabricated a decontamination station allowing for
               decontamination of litter and ambulatory patients at the
               same time.

          27 - An all time high, 166 inpatients at FH5.

          28 - First patient operated on by a FH5 neurosurgeon, Lcdr Gerald
               McGillicuddy, in Bahrain.

          30 - The first Narcotic and Controlled Drug monthly inventory was
               conducted by the FH5 Narcotic and Controlled Drug Inventory
            Board with no discrepancies.

          30 - Radiology examines its i,oooth patient.
